South Australian Virtual Reality Centre
Located within the Santos Petroleum Building at the University of Adelaide, the South Australian Virtual Reality Centre (SAVRC) is a state-of-the-art multi-functional work space.
The SAVRC features:
- State-of-the-art active stereo projection
- Three seamless screens totalling 15 square metres
- ‘Wedge’ configuration; the far right screen can be moved to 90°
- Real-time computing capability
- Motion tracking
- Surround sound
- An ‘intelligent whiteboard’
- Access Grid videoconferencing; allowing visual and audio-based remote collaboration.
The SAVRC can accommodate 25 (expandable to around 100).
